Terms and Conditions

25% non-refundable deposit per week, per cottage, upon booking.
Payment in full is required 4 weeks prior to arrival .
If booking is within four weeks of arrival, then payment is required in full, at the time of booking.
Cancellation ~ no refund of full-balance monies unless cottage is re-let, you must notify us in writing, at the very earliest opportunity. We very much recommend you have your own insurance.

We have truly put our hearts and souls into the building, furnishing and decorating of our cottages for your enjoyment. Please be kind enough to observe the following;

Please take proper and reasonable care of your cottage and garden; furniture, pictures, fittings and effects; please leave them in the same state of repair and condition, and in the same clean and tidy condition, at the end of the rental period, as at the beginning.
Do notify us immediately of any breakages and damages. You are legally bound to reimburse Millness Croft for any replacement, repair or cleaning costs on demand.

Please observe some simple cottage rules;

Strictly no smoking in any of the cottages.
We regret we are unable to accept any pets, except guide dogs.
Arrival between 4 pm - 7 pm, (day of arrival), and departure by 10 am please, (day of departure). (We really need the time to clean and prepare thoroughly; either for your arrival, or for that of our next guests).
No shoes/boots indoors.
Cycles to remain in cycle store, outside.
Please be environmentally friendly; switch off lights and only heat when required, recycle bottles/paper etc. where possible, and save water.
Don't leave your wood burning stove, or candles unattended.
Observe the countryside code outdoors. This is a small, working croft with animals; all gates must be closed, and care taken when near to the animals, particularly at lambing time and when cows have young with them. Please don’t allow children to chase or interfere with the animals.

All linen and towels are included in the price.
If staying for a two week period, or more, then a change of towels and/or linen is available. Cleaning can also be arranged.
Oil, gas, electricity and wood for fire are included in the price.
Cot and high chairs, baby bouncing chairs, baby bath, changing mat, safety gates and fire guards etc. are available FREE of charge, please do book in advance.

Millness Croft and its' owners, are not liable to you or any third parties for any accident, damage, loss, injury expense or inconvenience, which may be suffered, incurred, arise out of or is in any way connected with the rental of one of our cottages.
The number of persons occupying the cottage must not exceed that as stipulated in the brochure or on the website. The cottage must be used for personal and domestic purposes only, and not for any commercial use; (without prior, written consent from Millness Croft).
Right of entry is reserved at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs and maintenance.
If the cottage which you have booked becomes unavailable or unusable, for whatever reason prior to the date of your booking, then our obligation to you is this; a) to endeavour to find you a suitable alternative property, or, failing that, b) to reimburse you for any monies paid.

Millness Croft Cottages reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party, or to terminate the stay, without refund, if any of these conditions are not complied with.

Every effort has been made to ensure you have an enjoyable stay; however we know we can't always be 100% perfect. Please let us know immediately if this has not been the case.

We will endeavour to rectify, wherever possible.
